Edible Slime - 3 Ingredients

how to make edible, taste-safe slime with gummy bears
Prep Time5 minutes
Keyword: edible slime, slime
Author: Emma

Ingredients

  • 1 cup gummy bears 8 ounces
  • 2 ½ tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2-3 teaspoons oil

Instructions

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the gummy bears in the microwave in 30-second increments. This will likely only take 30 seconds + 15 seconds more.
Allow them to cool enough to handle. You can check by placing your hand on the outside of the bowl.
  • In another bowl, add the cornstarch. Create a bowl shape, pushing the cornstarch up the sides.
  • Add the melted gummy bears. Use a rubber spatula to fold the cornstarch in on the gummy bear liquid.
  • Once most of the cornstarch has been incorporated, use your clean hands to knead the slime until it’s fully incorporated. As you work, it will be sticky, so add the oil by oiling your hands well.

Notes

As with all projects that involve cooking or heat, use your best judgment if the children in your life are old enough to help or make this project.
Use the same color of gummy bears for a cohesive colored slime. Use different colors for a fun experiment!
Although this slime is edible, it is not meant to be fully consumed. This is not a snack recipe. This is a taste-safe slime.
