American Flag Fingerprint Craft

Ingredients

  • 1 piece blue construction paper cut into a square
  • 1 piece red construction paper cut into strips
  • 1 piece white construction paper
  • 1 glue stick or school glue
  • acrylic paint white

Instructions

  • Begin by cutting one sheet of red construction paper into strips. One sheet of cut red strips will be enough to create two flags.
  • Cut a small blue square.
  • Help your child glue strips to the white paper and attach the blue square, creating the basic shape of a flag.
  • Use a small amount of white acrylic paint on your child's pointer finger to create dots that resemble stars on the blue square. Reapply paint as needed.
