Making an “B is for Bear” craft is a fun activity that is great for preschool and kindergartners who are starting to recognize letters and animals.
You can use this craft as a template or as a coloring page and do the activity directly on the printout. Our free printable alphabet template is the base for all of our animal letter creations, you can download and print the full alphabet or grab just the letter ‘A’ at the bottom of this post!

This is a part of our Letter of the Week series! All you need for this craft is a printed template, crayons and some scrap paper. You can add fun embellishments like googley eyes or work on cutting out the full letter too.

Supplies for your B is for Bear
- Letter ‘B’ Template
- Printer or access to a printer (this is the printer I have and love)
- Paper punch- optional. I used a 2 inch circle punch and a 1-inch circle punch.
- Googley Eyes (or you could make them with paper!)
- Crayons or markers
- Cardstock
- Gluestick
Making a Paper Bear
If you’re using the letter B template to create an bear you’ll start by printing off the page and tracing the template onto brown cardstock.
Using a hole punch, or by cutting out circles (our shapes template may help!)
After you cut out your cardstock letter ‘B’, use your glue stick to add on your paper ears and paws.
Using a crayon or marker add a nose and details to the paws.
Add googley eyes and any other details you want for your Bear!
