What’s Great About Letter of the Week Crafts
Crafts that take shapes and turn them into something different are always fun for education and creativity. In a similar way to our post about making 10 animals from heart shapes, this cat craft is an engaging activity to learn about how shapes can be different things. All you need is a printed template, crayons and some scrap paper. You can add fun embellishments like googley eyes or if the child is old enough you can have them work on cutting out the full letter too.
- It’s an easy way to introduce letters to kids and help them with alphabet recognition.
- It can be a quick activity or way to work on phonics without them feeling overwhelmed.
- It’s a hands-on way to start teaching the letter ‘C’.
- I like crafts that you can adjust to what age of kiddo you’re working with, or their skill level. You can prep most of this ahead of time or let them work on it from scratch!
