8 plastic 9oz cups you can use a different size, this is to make 8
Ingredients
1boxfamily size instant chocolate pudding
3cupschilled milkwhole or 2% recommended
8ozcool whip
24oreoscrushed
24gummy wormsfor 3 worms per cup
Instructions
Start by making your instant pudding. Combine your jello packet with 3 cups of chilled milk.
Allow to rest for 5 minutes or so after combining, then fold and stir in your cool whip. Put in the fridge to chill. This is optional but I feel like it helps the recipe to set up!
While your pudding mixture is chilling, crush your oreo cookies. Add them into a ziploc baggie and use a rolling pin to flatten them. This is the perfect part for kids to help with! You can also use a food processor, but the rolling pin method is definitely more fun.
Start layering your pudding and cookie crumbs. I did 3 tbsp of the pudding and 2 tbsp of cookie crumbs per layer, but then added more cookie crumbs on the top layer. If it's more time efficient you can skip layering them too!
Store your dirt cups in the refrigerator. Once you have your dirt cups complete, but just before serving add your gummy worms. This way they don't get too hard in the fridge.
Notes
Making these oreo dirt cups is very simple! There are a few things you'll want to keep in mind as you get started. These need to be refrigerated, and I recommend adding the worms right before serving so they don't harden. You can keep them in the fridge in an airtight container, but over time the cookies will start to go stale/get soft.
