Paper Plate Christmas Wreath Craft

This super simple Christmas wreath made from a paper plate is a great craft for kids to work on and help with!

Equipment

  • 1 pair of scissors

Ingredients

  • 1 paper plate
  • 2 tbsp green paint or markers
  • 8-10 pieces tissue pape squares
  • 1 bottle school glue glue sticks
  • 1 piece cardstock in red or desired color

Instructions

  • Begin by painting or coloring your plate green. Allow time to dry. If you're wanting this to be a faster craft you can use markers, crayons or colored pencils. You could also pre-paint plates too and have them ready for the kid to pick from.
  • Cut out the center of the plate to make a wreath shape.
  • Start putting dots of glue on the plate and add balled up pieces of tissue paper. These look like little berries on your plate! You can use balled up paper, pom poms or stickers for your berries too!
  • Finish by cutting out a bow (or using a ribbon) and glueing the bow onto the plate. If you're going to hang your wreath you can use a hole punch and yarn to hang it on your door.
