Cost: $10

Equipment

  • 1 tray to store cookies on.
  • 2 ziploc baggies
  • 1 pair of scissors to trim ziploc baggies.

Ingredients

  • 10 single fudge stripe cookies as many as you're wanting to make!
  • 10 mini m&m's or reeses pieces you'll just need 1 per cookie
  • 10 rolos or mini reeses cups
  • 2 tbsp frosting, divided into two portions
  • 2-3 drops yellow food coloring

Instructions

  • Flip your fudge stripe cookie upside down.
  • Add a drop of frosting to the bottom of your unwrapped rolo and adhere the rolo to the bottom of the fudge stripe cookie. You can also leave the cookie facing upwards, totally up to you or the kids making their hats!
  • Make your yellow food coloring by adding a few drops to a portion of your white frosting. I like using gel food coloring. Transfer into a ziploc or piping bag, then cup a really small hole in the tip. Follow the rolo around and add a tassle if desired.
  • You can add your mini M&M to the yellow icing, or you can add a drop of frosting to the back of the m&m before sticking onto the rolo.
  • Store on a cookie tray or in an airtight container. Serve the same day or cookies will hold for 2-3 days. After that they may begin to get a bit stale.

Notes

Made the serving size to represent 2 cookies per person, but you can make as many as you'd like!
