63ozboxes of jello in red, orange, yellow, green, blue in purple
6cupsboiling waterone cup per box of jello
6cupscold wateror ice, one cup per box of jello
Instructions
Mix your red color with 1 cup of hot water and stir until completely dissolved (1-2 minutes).
Add in your 1 cup of cool water (or ice) and stir again until completely incorporated.
Add your first layer of red to your popsicle molds, and freeze for 1 hour.
Repeat the process with each orange and yellow, but add in your popsicle stick to your yellow layer once it's been in the freezer for 15 minutes or so and is gelled enough to hold the popsicle stick upright.
Keep adding your green, blue, and purple, allowing one hour of freeze time in between each layer.
Allow your whole popsicle to freeze for about 12 hours before removing from molds.
You can run some warm water around the outside of your popsicle molds to help release your popsicles if they won't come out at first.
Notes
This recipe is simple but you will need your patience! Each layer requires about an hour of freezing time to set up, and then you'll want to let them freeze overnight to completely solidify. They're worth the wait though!
