Solar System Coloring Page or Craft
Using a coloring page or making a card stock version of a planet is a fun way to teach children of all ages about the solar system and how it works together. As a preschool or kindergarten craft they can do more of the cutting and coloring with you.
Planet Craft
Ready to make your planets using our printable? Follow these steps!
Supplies Needed
- Planet template
- construction paper in colors of choice (assorted paper pack)
- school glue
- scissors
- Miscellaneous craft supplies- googley eyes, pipe cleaners, puffy paint, crayons, etc. A kit like this one has a lot of fun pieces or just pull from your stash!
Steps to Making a Solar System
- Print out your template(s).
- Cut out the individual planet outlines and trace them onto cardstock paper in the color of your choice.
- Next trace any of the individual pieces you want to glue on like the continents on earth, the ring on Saturn, etc. You can also use paint or markers to add the details.
- Glue any additional cardstock pieces to the planets and allow to dry.
