Keyword: fingerprint crafts, mothers day
Servings: 1 card
Cost: $1

Equipment

  • 1 pair of scissors

Instructions

  • To create your card, fold a piece of paper in half and trim down the size a little if desired. Or just use a full piece of paper if not making a card.
  • In the middle of the paper, have your child do a bunch of fingerprints with white paint creating a circle shape of fingerprints to be the sheep body (either they can dip their fingers in a small amount of paint or you can paint their fingers and let them stamp the fingerprint).
  • Allow the paint to dry for a few minutes. In the middle of your white fingerprints, have your kid place a vertical black thumbprint to be the sheep's face, and then two smaller fingerprints at an angle off the head to be the ears.
Add two more black fingerprints to be the legs of the sheep at the bottom of the white fingerprints and allow the paint to dry.
  • Once the paint is dry, add some small google eyes with glue to the face of the sheep. If you want, you can also outline the sheep's body with white puffy paint.
  • If you are making this into a Mother's Day card, have your kid write (or help them write) "I love you Maa" at either the top of the front of the card or on the inside.

Notes

You can either put a small amount of paint out on a tray or paper plate for kids to dip their fingers into for the fingerprints, or you can use a small paintbrush and paint directly onto their fingers for each press.
Less paint will show more of your kid's actual fingerprint and more paint will look more like a dot.
