Felt Weather Board DIY

Equipment
- 1 pair of fabric scissors
- 1 low-temp hot glue gun for an adult to use. Could also use school glue.
Ingredients
- 3-5 pieces felt sheets in colors of choices
- felt by the yard Or fleece, you'll want enough to cover your size poster board.
- small poster board or cardboard
- school glue or low-temp glue gun if using a glue gun an adult needs to help.
- google eyes
- puff paint for mouths optional
- weather board download available below
Instructions
- Print out your weather board download so you can cut out your weather shapes and letters and trace them onto the color felt you want for each item.
- I used one color for the sun flare and one for the circle of the sun on top of the flare color.Use fabric scissors to cut out each item (adults should be the one to use the fabric scissors).
- Glue your sun circle onto the sun flare color and let dry.
- You can also glue on any google eyes or use puffy paint or markers to make little faces at this point.
- To make your weather board, trim a piece of black felt or fleece to the size of your poster board or cardboard and glue it on with school glue or a low-temp hot glue gun. You can even wrap the fabric around the back and tape it to the back of the cardboard or cardstock.
- Now your weather board is ready to play with!
