This craft is a fun way for kids to build their own pizzas, by making a paper pizza! There are so many ways they can become artistic chefs and customize it. It’s a great activity for working on coloring, scissor skills, glueing and tearing paper. And it would be the perfect craft to pair with a snowman pizza snack!
Below you will find a pdf file you can download to print. We’ve included a blank pizza outline, some printable pizza toppings, and individual pizza slices as well. These make a fun coloring or paint project too.

Paper Pizza Printable
Using a printable is a fun way to teach children of all ages about ingredients, cooking, and how everyone can like different toppings and flavors. If the child is older they’ll be able to do more of the cutting and glueing with you. The printable pizza toppings are a fun addition because kids can pick their favorite things and add them to their very own pizza slice. This would be a fun craft to pair with reading some pizza themed books too, like Pete’s a Pizza!

Supplies Needed
- Pizza template download
- Construction paper or cardstock in cream or brown, red, and white. You could also make the toppings out of cut out cardstock. (assorted paper pack)
- school glue
- scissors
- crayons
Steps to Assembling Your Paper Pizza
- Print out your template(s).
- Cut out the pizza and trace it onto your cream or brown paper for your crust.
- Cut or tear pieces of red and white paper to create sauce and cheese. Let kids decide if they want a super cheesy pizza or how much sauce they add.
- Next trace any of the individual ingredients you want to glue on. Alternatively you can color these in ahead and cut them out.
- You can also trace and cut out the ingredients- I did this for the individual slices shown below! This alternative may be best suited for older kids as the pieces are smaller and more detailed.
More Ideas to Try
- Have kids talk about what ingredients they’ve tried on pizza, or what else they would add.
- Laminate the pizza slices and ingredients and play pizza shop or restaurant and let kids ‘order’ their pizzas.
- Pair this craft with a make your own pizza day where either lunch or a snack is a homemade pizza.
