Creating a mask for a game or activity is a super fun way for kids to get creative, and it can be a great way to teach kids about different cultures and celebrations too! There are 9 printable masks for kids below that work great as a coloring page, a make your own mask activity or that can be used as templates.

Below you will find a pdf file you can download to print. We’ve included individual versions as well as a pdf will all the masks included. There’s a lion mask, a panda mask, a mardi gras mask, masquerade mask, venetian mask, ninja mask, luchador mask, superhero mask and a dragon mask. You can print all of them or pick your favorite!

Mask Printable

Using a mask printable is a fun way to teach children of all ages about different cultures and celebrations. Preschoolers and older kids can do more of the cutting, creating and coloring with you, while toddlers may just want to color or pick what colors of paper are used.

Mask Craft

Ready to make your cut out masks? Follow these steps! You may want to size the mask to your toddler or child, so before cutting the eye holes measure where their face will fit.

Supplies Needed

Mask template
Cardstock paper in a variety of colors (assorted pack)
school glue
scissors
Stickers, feathers, glitter glue, sequins or other miscellaneous craft supplies to decorate your masks. You can also just use markers and crayons!

Steps to Assembling Your Mask

Print out your template(s).
Cut out the mask of choice and trace onto cardstock paper.
Cut out the eye holes from your template, trace and cut them out of the base of your mask.
As an alternative, you can trace one outline on yellow paper and use paint or markers to add the details.

More Ideas to Try

Use this template as a coloring page.
Use each mask when talking about a different culture or event and then have kids make them for a celebration.
To let a child wear it, either attach a stick so they can hold it, or use a hole punch to create holes and loop a string through and tie to secure.
