This printable is a great activity for kids who are working on learning their basic shapes. Using these free printable shape outlines is a way they can learn to recognize and interact with several various shapes.
We’ve included four pages in this free download that you can pick either one page from or download the entire set. These make a fun coloring page too!

More Ideas to Try:
- Use this template as a coloring page.
- Make a garland by adding a string or ribbon to the back of the shapes for a fun basic shapes display.
- Laminate the shapes in cardstock and use them as a matching game by having kids find them on the coloring sheet.
Supplies Needed:
- Shapes printable
- cardstock or construction paper in red, green and pink (I like this variety pack)
- crayons, markers, or colored pencils
Directions:
- Download your shapes template and print using printer paper.
- Cut out the shapes and trace them onto cardstock in a variety of colors.
- Use them to make a memory game, flash cards, or different crafts with shapes! You could draw a road and use the octagon to make a stop sign for it, or see what animals you can make with various shapes. (We love hearts for animal faces!)
