It makes a fun coloring page or we’ve included pieces that you can use as a guide to build your own train! This would be really easy to print and use for a train themed birthday party too.

Train Printable

Using a train printable is a fun way to teach children of all ages about the parts of a train and transportation. If you’re using it with a toddler it’s the perfect craft when they’re loving Thomas the train or going on their first train ride. As a preschool or kindergarten craft they can do more of the cutting and coloring with you. You can also print out multiple pages of the parts of the train and use it as an opportunity to learn about how trains work and how different trains pull different things.

Train Paper Craft

Ready to make your cut out train? Follow these steps!

Supplies Needed

• Train Template download
• Construction paper or cardstock in colors of choice (assorted paper pack)
• school glue
• scissors

Steps to Assembling Your Train

1. Print out your template(s).
2. Cut out the train pieces and trace them onto cardstock or construction paper in your preferred color.
3. Next trace any of the individual pieces you want to glue on like wheels or windows.
4. As an alternative, you can trace one outline on yellow paper and use paint or markers to add the details. You could also color in the train pieces and then glue each pieces onto a piece of cardstock or construction paper.
