Using a printable is a fun way to teach children of all ages about the parts of a vehicle. As a preschool or kindergarten craft they can do more of the cutting and coloring with you. You can also print out multiple pages of the parts of the tractor truck and use it as an opportunity to learn about how they work.
Paper Tractor Craft
Ready to make a cut out tractor? Follow these steps!
Supplies Needed
- Tractor Template download
- scissors (with adult supervision as needed)
- Construction paper or cardstock (variety pack)
- Gluestick or school glue
Steps to Assembling Your Paper Tractor
- Print out your template(s).
- Cut out the tractor and trace it onto paper. You can also print the pieces right onto your cardstock or construction paper.
- Next trace any of the individual pieces you want to glue on like wheels or windows.
- As an alternative, you can trace one outline onto your construction paper paper and use paint or markers to add the details.
More Ideas to Try
- Use this template to make a garland or use as a part of party decor. This would go great with our dirt cake or dirt cups! Or pair with our dump truck, garbage truck and monster truck for a vehicle themed party or week!
- Let kids design their own tractor designs or copy their favorites into a picture! Add to a felt board with animals for a fun farm-themed week.
- Use the little tractors on favor bags or to mark desk cubbies.
