Key Supplies
- If you’re printing this at home, you’ll just need some regular printer paper or cardstock along with this Halloween Memory game printable download.
- When printing, make sure to check the preview and make sure you don’t need to resize. You may need to adjust your settings to make sure the print fits to the page.
- You can print this in black and white, too!
- Glue the sheet to a colorful piece of cardstock. After you cut out each memory card, the colorful designed cardstock will become the back.
How to Play Memory
After you print your cards, get ready to play some matching! You can play a few different ways depending on the age of your child. When my son was 3-4 and just learning how to play, we would pick one card and then flip over the rest until we found it. It was a bit more collaborative and a way to introduce him to the game!
Memory matching is typically played when all cards are facing down and one player chooses two cards at time. The goal is to find matching cards, and often you need to remember what card you or the other player last flipped. If you don’t get a match, you turn the card back over and the next player goes. Once you find a match you get a pile and get to take another turn. The player with the most matches at the end of the game wins! Sometimes the memory matching game is called “Concentration.”
