Whether it’s back-to-school season or you have a little one who thinks school buses are incredibly cool, this free printable and bus craft is for you!

This school bus template can be used to mark the start of a new school year, along with our All About Me printable, as a name tag, decoration, or as part of a cute teacher’s gift.

Below, you will find a PDF file to can download to print. We’ve included a bus outline, the detail pieces to design the bus, and smaller versions as well. School Bus Printable:

Using a school bus printable is a fun way to teach children of all ages about buses. If you’re using it with a toddler, it’s the perfect craft for the wheels on the bus song.

As a preschool or kindergarten craft, they can do more of the cutting and coloring with you. You can also print out multiple pages of the parts of the bus and use it as an opportunity to learn about how cars work.

  • School glue
  • Scissors

Steps to Assembling Your School Bus:

  1. Print out your template(s).
  2. Cut out the school bus and trace it onto yellow paper.
  3. Next, trace any of the individual pieces you want to glue on (like wheels or windows).
  4. As an alternative, you can trace one outline on yellow paper and use paint or markers to add the details.

Thank you for this – I’m in the process of making a junk journal for my intellectually challenged nephew who loves school buses. He’s going to love this bus template!! I’ll have him help put it together.

Made 2 this morning and added a blank page to the back as a card for our bus drivers for bus driver appreciation. They were so cute! Thank you for the simple craft!
