How to Make a Paper Plate Umbrella

Step 1. Using a paint stick, paint a paper plate in color of choice. Cut the plate in half. You can create scallops or keep it straight, however you want!

Step 2. Cut out a piece o cardstock paper in a ‘J’ shape to make a handle. Glue onto the paper plate. Next, decorate with pom poms, glitter, markers, etc.! Then you’re ready for some rain!

- 1 piece cardstock paper (any color)
- 1 paint sitck (in color of choice. Could also use markers or paint!)
- 1 glue stick
- misc decorating items lime pom poms, glitter, markers

- Paint your paper plate in the color of your choice. I love using paint markers because they dry so quickly and are less messy!
- Cut your paper plate in half, making scallops if you prefer.
- Cut out a 'J' shaped handle from cardstock paper and glue to the back of the paper plate to create your umbrella handle.
