Fall is not just for pumpkins, although I love those too! I have two boys who love football and so I have been brainstorming crafts for them. This paper plate football helmet is one of my favorites so far, along with this football pom pom launcher!
You only need a few basic supplies for this simple craft and you can customize it to any pro, high school or college team. It can even be an easy one to pack and take to a tailgate if you have kiddos coming with!
Paper Plate Football Helmet
Ready In: 10-15 minutes
Makes: One paper plate football helmet.
Supplies: You’ll need a paper plate, a paint stick or two in your team’s colors, scissors and a gluestick.

How to Make a Paper Plate Football Helmet
Step 1. Paint or color your paper plate. We are making a Chiefs one so I went with red. I love how quickly these paint stix dry- it really helps make crafting with paper plates less messy.
Step 2. Cut out the side and mouth face area of your helmet.
Step 3. Using cardstock, cut out any decorative pieces like a mouth guard or logo you want to add and glue them on.
